Privacy Policy

How DigitalDMCA collects, uses, stores and shares the information you provide when you use the website, submit an enquiry or use the client portal.

Last updated November 2, 2026

Who we are

DigitalDMCA ("we", "us") operates digitaldmca.com and the client portal. We provide digital rights protection and brand enforcement support. Contact: legal@digitaldmca.com.

This document is a template drafted for DigitalDMCA's business model and should be reviewed by a qualified lawyer for the jurisdictions in which the business operates before it is relied on.

Information we collect

Information you provide: your name, email address, company, website, country, the details of your enquiry or case, infringing and original URLs, and files you upload as evidence.

Account information: login credentials (passwords are stored only as salted hashes), role, notification preferences and activity in the portal.

Technical information: IP address, browser user agent, timestamps and the pages you visit, collected for security, rate limiting and to diagnose problems.

Payment information: we do not collect or store card numbers. Payments are processed by a third-party provider's hosted checkout; we store the transaction reference and status.

How we use it

To assess and handle your enquiries and cases, including preparing and submitting reports to platforms and providers with your authorization.

To operate the portal, send notifications about your cases, issue invoices and provide support.

To protect the service: preventing abuse, enforcing rate limits and investigating security incidents.

To meet legal obligations and keep records of reports filed on your behalf.

Sharing

Case information is shared with third parties only as necessary to act on your instructions: for example, platforms, hosting providers, registrars, payment providers and search engines that receive the reports we prepare for you. Those recipients may forward notices, including the complainant's contact details, to the person whose content is reported.

Service providers that help us run the service (hosting, email delivery, payment processing, storage) process data on our behalf under contract.

We do not sell personal information.

Retention

Case records and evidence are kept for as long as needed to handle the matter, respond to disputes and comply with legal obligations, and are then deleted or anonymised. Account data is deleted on request subject to legal retention requirements.

Security

Evidence is stored privately with access limited by role. Transport is encrypted. Access to administrative functions is logged. No system is perfectly secure; we will notify affected users of a breach where the law requires it.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or export your personal data and to object to certain processing (for example under the GDPR, UK GDPR or CCPA). Contact legal@digitaldmca.com to exercise them. You may also complain to your local data protection authority.

International transfers

Data may be processed in countries other than your own. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for such transfers.

Changes

We will post changes to this policy on this page with an updated date.
